What Happens to Collected Items
Our priority is to give collected items a second life. We focus on reuse wherever possible and handle all items responsibly to reduce waste and landfill.
Reuse & Redistribute
Reuse Comes First
Items that are suitable for reuse are prioritised and prepared for a second life. This may include local reuse or resale through appropriate channels where items can continue to be used.
Responsible Redistribution
Items that are not suitable for local reuse may be redistributed through approved reuse and recycling partners, including international reuse markets, where they can continue to be used rather than discarded.
Donation Through Trusted Partners
Where appropriate, selected items are allocated to charitable or community partners in the UK and abroad. These donations support community initiatives and help ensure usable items benefit others.
Recycling as a Last Resort
If an item cannot be reused or donated, it is directed towards responsible recycling to minimise environmental impact.
Important to know
Not all collected items follow the same route. The final destination of an item depends on its condition, suitability, and current reuse options. We do not guarantee a donation for every item, but we do guarantee that items are handled responsibly.
